Early wake up at 7.30 today. We are waiting the bus to go to Phang Nga Bay at 8.40. Half an hour to get ready and then breakfast at the hotel. There are nudles, rise of many kinds, eggs, several other Thai dishes and luckly also some cornflakes and sweet things. The weather also today is terribly hot and Sina is missing the finnish temperature . We go back to the room where the temperature is quite cold cause of the air conditioning. I turn it off with Sina screeming cause it was not enough cold for her.
At 8.15 they call us from the reception saying that the bus to Phang Nga Bay is already waiting for us. There has been a misunderstood, so we just have time to put in the bag sun cream, sun glasses, camera and beach towel before to go to the bus. By bus we go to pick up other tourists from other hotels and it takes more or less 1 hour to arrive to our destination where we meet more or less 40 other people going to Phang Nga Bay. The tour guide explain us quickly how the excursions will work, we will visit 4 islands in the regiod on Phang Nga Bay that has 42 islands. Then directly to the speed boat! From now we totally lose the connection of time. It’s unbelivebly hot so on the boat they offer several times soft drinks.

It takes a while to arrive to the first island is called James Bond Island. It’s nice and small but quite commercial. There are markets everywhere.

From here we go to Panyee Iseland where they offer us a great lunch in a rastaurant built on the ocean

After that time for cayaking in Panak. It’s impressive how many people are kayaking here. They are all turist and each couple of turists have a kayak and a driver.

Then time to relax in Lawa Island where we spend one hour on the beach. It’s really nice but I still cannot find any big difference from the best italians beaches of Salento or Costa Smeralda in Sardinia. Just here the atmosphere is different. Nicer. Everything is more wild. Only 1 bar in the whole beach. The island is too small so the electricity is produced by a generator. There are coconuts everywhere.

At the end of the excursions that took half a day, Sina is almost exausthed. The weather is still too hot. By boat we go back to our meeting point where we have our bus waiting for us. On the way home the traffic is impressive cause of the Thai new year. People is still water shooting everywhere. If there are cars the don’t care. They just block the street! But also the drivers are aware of the celebration so they don’t get nervous but they just wait or partecipate to the party showing their water guns that they are hiding somewhere

We are at the hotel at 18.00 totally tired. No energy to go out so we order a dinner in the room. A couple of hours to reply to emails and phone calls of all the people in Europe scared by the Bangkok news on the TV, then I felt asleep around midnight.

Still about Bangkok…
I have been talking a lot about this with everybody in Thailand. For the moment the hard situation is only in Bangkok in the following areas Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom and Ayutthaya.
The forecast is that the situation will calm down in 3-4 days. We will have to go to Bangkok in around 10 days. The airport area is not affected at least for now so no need to worry. Tomorrow I will call the italian embassy asking if they have raccomandations.
