Flying to Bangkok 5.00 +1GTM
I wake up in the middle of the night. The throat hurts and it hurts a lot. We are almost arrived to Thailand so I need to get better quickly. It’s time to get something a bit stronger then the magic portion. I take some Burana. I fell asleep again and when I wake up after few hours the fever is totally gone and the throath doesn’t hurt anymore. I think… WoW…
They serve us a nice breakfast on the plane and after a bit… omg… we are landing to Bangkok…

The airport is totally crowded. Thai people everywhere :D
Sina cannot handle anymore with her hurting feet. They are totally red and swollen… Another passport control to do… and… ladies and gentleman… welcome to Thailand! We go to get our luggages and then directly to the check in of the next flight. I’m surprised how well Sina could handle these 2 flights!
Before the boarding to the flight to Phuket somebody tell us ‘Welcome to Thailand and Happy new Thai Year’! We understand immediatly… Thai people are so friendly! And we are so lucky ’cause this is the week of the Thai new year and we have no idea about the way this is celebrated in Thailand!
We are starting to feel a bit tired, so we have pit stop in a Thai Restaurant! with 500 Bath (around 10 Euros) we are able to have enough food for 2 persons… and thai food is sooo good!
Now it’s time to test an Asian airline that will bring us to Phuket. Air Asia.

Quick boarding, our sits are on the back of the plain. Next to us sitting a Thai boy living in London. He does not hesitate to start a conversation about our holiday. We tell him our plan and we take advantage to ask him some information about how to get to the hotel. He gives us quite important information about the taxi system and prices to go to Patong Beach where we will spend 4 nights from the Phuket Airport. After we land, we go directly to get our luggage. It’s a bit messy cause we cannot understand from where our luggage will pop up but luckly there are only 2 tracks. It takes 20 minutes to get the luggage and when we go out from the baggages hall, the taxi drivers start to jump on us offering a ride. The first price requested was 800 Baths (16 euros). Then we walked a bit further and we got a ride by an official taxi for 550 Baths (11 euros). The car was brand new.

40 minutes to go to the Hotel, was quite a long trip. At the entrance they welcome us offering a good cocktail. We booked a standard room but the lady at the reception tell us that we got an upgrade to a deluxe room cause all the standard rooms are booked :D We pay (in advance) and she brings us to the room telling that we don’t have to worry about the luggages cause somebody will bring them soon.
Finally we get in the room. Nice. Huge. It seems like being in an apartment. We understand immediatly that it worthed to pay that price. Short time to relax… We have an island to explore… Shower and time for dinner! But wait… we didn’t have time to realize that… it’s soooo hot in here!!! It’s evening and there are maybe 30°! We walk near by the hotel, looking for an thai restaurant. We end up in a kind of food street plenty of ‘sellers’ trying to get us in their ‘food places’…

Only thing is that we don’t have a good feeling of the quality of the food… So we decide to go to a real restaurant a bit more trustable. We order 3 thai dishes: some nudles, some rise with shrimps and something else :D No need to say… food is delicious and served in huge portions that were definetly too much for 2 people. We couldn’t finish it all, and it costed only 630 Baths (13 euro).
Dinner over, time to walk a bit around Patong Beach. Sina it’s impressed… it’s full of fat and ugly foreigners with beautiful thai girls… no further comment about that, we keep on walking with Sina that keep on stare at them politely (she is finnish, don’t forget… :D ) We sit quickly in a bar just to drink something and then time to go to sleep… It’s almost 1.00.
